A gentle Japanese healing art
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient and gentle Japanese healing art that is used to harmonise the breath.
By harmonising the breath, we harmonise our mind, body and soul – Jin Shin Jyutsu literally means ‘The Art of the Creator through the Man of Knowing and Compassion.’
Jin Shin Jyutsu teaches us how to rediscover our innate wisdom to KNOW (Help) MYSELF. It can be practiced as self help, or one can receive treatment from a practitioner.
People often ask me: ‘How does Jin Shin Jyutsu WORK?’
I was thinking of another analogy just yesterday:
Take a house with light switches. Every house has light switches, but in the dark, if you don’t know the house you have to first find the light switch before you can turn it on. Our body is the house, and we have 26 ‘light switches’ on the right side and left side of the body (they are mirror images of each other).
When we know where they are, we can touch/hold them to ‘turn them on’, thereby getting the ‘electricity’ or energy to FLOW.
Acupuncture for instance, achieves this with needles. In Jin Shin Jyutsu it is achieved with the fingers and hands.
