Jin Shin Jyutsu quick hold for Fatigue
In one of the first Jin Shin Jyutsu classes I attended, the teacher said: “You need energy to be calm.” For me, this was a huge revelation but it rang very true. And that is what this universal Art does so elegantly: by revitalising our energy, everything can function more optimally on every level. So if you haven’t already, use this Jin Shin Jyutsu hold to ease fatigue and so much more.

This self help is a wonderful way to help MYSELF revitalise and calm. And this little gem of a self help hold really is dynamic at getting the energy to move when it is stuck. ‘Stuckness’ and stagnation are the number one reason why we experience disharmony, discomfort, pain and disease. It all starts when the energy can’t move properly.
This exercise simply helps the energy move from right to left and left to right, and connects up and down, down and up. That’s why it’s one of my favourite self help exercises. It helps me breathe, it moves the lympth, and it clears the back as well as the waistline – in essence, helping everything!
Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help Hold for Fatigue
To practice this exercise, simply place your right hand on your left upper arm, and place your left hand on the top of your right thigh (above the knee) (shown in image). Depending on how you sit, your fingers on the thigh might point up or down. Place the hand so that it feels comfortable for you.
To do the other side reverse the hands. So place the left hand on your right upper arm, and place your right hand on the top of your left thigh.
Hold for as long as you like.
If you sit quietly and close your eyes, the longer you hold, the better you will feel! (But you can also do this while watching TV…
