What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a universal art of harmonising the life energy in the body by using the fingers and hands. In fact, it is a way to feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You can hold the fingers or place the hands on particular areas of the body. This helps revitalize the body, calm the mind and promote a sense of wellbeing.
in essence, Jin Shin Jyutsu is a gentle yet dynamic way facilitate the body’s own healing ability at the root cause, and therefore, to promote health and well being. Jin Shin Jyutsu is something that we can learn as self help, or it can be applied by a trained practitioner
We use light touch and a system of 26 energy sites on the body to harmonize the whole being. These 26 energy sites are called Safety Energy Locks and they are unique to Jin Shin Jyutsu.
The principles and KEYS of Jin Shin Jyutsu are as old as mankind, but were rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900s by a man called Jiro Murai. It was brought to the West by one of his most dedicated students, Mary Burmeister.

Acupuncture with the fingers
I often describe Jin Shin Jyutsu as ‘acupuncture with the fingers’. It is safe for every body, from pregnant mothers to babies, to the elderly or infirm. There are no contraindications either, so Jin Shin Jyutsu is a great support for the whole system. It reduces the negative effects of drugs or invasive treatments like chemotherapy, for instance.
Every body is made up of the same physical parts and so every body is made up of the same energy pathways or ‘flows’. The energy body is a complex and intelligent network that is just as much part of our make up as the physical body.
Available to each one of us
Jin Shin Jyutsu is available to each one of us at any time 24/7 and anywhere. We always have our hands with us!
So every body can work with their energy for health and vitality to clear small ‘stucknesses’ or large ‘stucknesses’. A small stuckness could manifest as a headache or a cold, and a large stuckness could be cancer.
You can start the practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu immediately! Just wrap the right hand around the left thumb or finger, relax the hands and hold. Or wrap the left hand around a right thumb or finger and hold for a few minutes.
Hold the Thumb to help ease WORRY, the Index finger to ease FEAR, the Middle finger to ease ANGER, the ring finger to ease GRIEF, the Little finger to ease EFFORT or TRYING TO. Place the fingers in the center of the palm to ease DESPONDENCY and FATIGUE.
